APABA Silicon Valley Congratulates 2015 MBC Unity Award Winner Chester Te

The Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Silicon Valley proudly congratulates Chester Te for receiving the Minority Bar Coalition's 2015 Unity Award for his dedication to promoting diversity and inclusion in the legal profession.  Chester will be recognized at the upcoming MBC Unity Awards Reception on Wednesday, November 18th in San Francisco.  Registration is free and all are invited to attend. Chester is Assistant General Counsel at SVB Financial Group, the parent company of Silicon Valley Bank, and was nominated by APABA Silicon Valley for his longstanding dedication to the APA legal community.  Chester has been actively involved with APABA-SV in numerous capacities over the years, serving on its Judiciary and Endorsements Committee, In-House Committee, as a mentor, board member, VP and President.  Chester has also served as a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees of the Santa Clara County Bar Association, and on its Judiciary and Diversity Committees as well.  Chester is also a past President of the Association of Asian American Yale Alumni (Northern California chapter).  He is currently a board member of APABA Silicon Valley, Co-Chair of the Diversity Committee of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, and continues to serve as a board member of the Silicon Valley Campaign for Legal Services, which raises funds for legal services for the needy.
