NAPABA Amicus Brief

APABA Silicon Valley joins the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA) and its affiliates in filing an Amicus Brief in State of Washington, et al. v. Donald J. Trump, et al. (No. 25-807), on appeal from the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington concerning Executive Order 14160 regarding birthright citizenship. We aim to educate the profession and the broader public about legal history relating to Asian migration to the United States and how those experiences and resulting caselaw have uniquely shaped modern-day immigration and civil rights law. APABA Silicon Valley seeks to ensure that the promises of the Fourteenth Amendment are not unfairly denied to Asian Americans and other communities. The full Amicus Brief is available here.
