The Vincent Chin Case & the Call for Inclusive Education on Asian American History

  • Hogan Lovells 855 Main St Suite 200 Redwood City, CA 94063 USA (map)

Please join us for a discussion with nationally recognized legal expert, leader, and educator Stewart Kwoh, who will discuss the pivotal Vincent Chin case - how the justice system failed, the role race played, and the impact on the Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander (AANHPI) community and its subsequent mobilization. Kwoh will connect this case to the deep need for AANHPI stories and histories to be taught to the next generation, including in K-12 classrooms.

This will be hosted in person at Hogan Lovells' Redwood City office. There will be light refreshments and drinks. Note that there will be a Zoom link created for this event, which we will share with virtual attendees closer to the event.

Time:

  • 5-6pm PST - discussion with Stewart Kwoh

  • 6-7pm PST - networking

RSVP here. Presented by APABA Silicon Valley’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee and sponsored by Hogan Lovells.
