APABA Silicon Valley members are invited to join the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity for a movie screening of On the Basis of Sex, a film that follows Ruth Bader Ginsburg as she teams with her husband Marty to bring a groundbreaking case before the U.S. Court of Appeals and overturn a century of sex discrimination.

APABA Silicon Valley in-house members are invited to the fifth event of our 2018 In-House Lunch Series, hosted by Amazon Lab126. Lunch is generously provided by Amazon. Attendance is limited to 30 people.

Save the date for a Celebration of 100 Bay Area Asian American General Counsels. This special reception will recognize the great strides that the approximately 100 Bay Area APA GCs have made in the legal profession, while raising awareness of the need to increase the number of Asian American GCs in Fortune 500/1000 companies.

Please join us for an evening of networking and entertainment to celebrate our 32nd Anniversary! We will be recognizing recipients of our Corporate and Law Firm Diversity Awards, as well as our scholarship recipients who served the Asian Pacific American community during their summers in law school and have demonstrated leadership and commitment to the Asian Pacific American community. The Gala is our annual signature event and attracts over 400 attendees each year, including judges, in-house counsel, attorneys and law students.

The APABA Silicon Valley Small Firm & Solo Practitioner Committee will be having a joint happy hour and mixer with AABA Solo and Small Firm Committee and KABA-NC at Barrelhouse (305 California Drive, Burlingame, CA 94010) on September 28 at 6 PM. This event is free for members and non-members. 

The Women in Law Committee will hold a fall brunch on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at 10 a.m. at The Cheesecake Factory in Palo Alto.

Please join the APABA Silicon Valley Mentoring Committee and Simpson Thacher in our summer charity event, supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation by participating in the 2017 5K “Walk for Wishes.”  Catch up with your old friends, meet some new ones, get some exercise, and support a terrific organization all at once! 

Join Minority Bar Coalition (MBC) organizations for a great barbeque, heavy appetizers, and drinks. Free admission for members of co-sponsoring organizations. This event is not open to the general public.

In-house members of APABA Silicon Valley are invited to the next installment of our 2017 In-House Lunch Series at Google in Sunnyvale. Precise meeting location will be sent to registered attendees prior to the event. Participation is limited to 16 in-house counsel who are current paid APABA members.
