Gloria Lee

Partner, Rutan & Tucker, LLP

Gloria Lee is the Client Relations Partner for Rutan & Tucker, LLP, an AmLaw 200 firm and one of the largest full service law firms in California. She is the Chair of the Firm’s Business Development Committee and is responsible for the strategic growth of business opportunities for the Firm. Gloria has originated over 70 new corporate clients in the past couple of years alone.

Prior to being promoted as the firm's Client Relations Partner, Ms. Lee practiced as a leading commercial real estate and finance attorney and has received several honors including been named a Super Lawyer and/or Rising Star by the Southern California Super Lawyers publication from 2012-2017. Gloria is a Past President of the Orange County Asian American Bar Association and the Founding Co-Chair of the Orange County Executive Advisory Council of Asian Americans Advancing Justice.

In 2015, Gloria was one of 14 attorneys selected by the National Pacific American Bar Association for its “Best Lawyers Under 40” award for her professional achievements and contributions to the community. In 2017, she was honored by the National Diversity Council as one of five of the “Most Powerful and Influential Women” in Southern California.

Gloria is a graduate of Stanford University and UC Berkeley School of Law. She resides in Orange County with her husband, two boys and golden retriever.


Mia Chiu

General Counsel, Ebates, Inc.

Mia is the General Counsel of Ebates Inc., the leader in online cash-back shopping. In 2017, Ebates acquired Cartera Commerce, a leading provider of loyalty marketing solutions and rewards programs and works with 5 of the top 10 U.S. credit card issuers and 5 of the 6 largest U.S. airlines, and ShopStyle from PopSugar Inc., the leading fashion discovery and search platform that partners with brands, retailers, stylists, and top bloggers. Her practice focuses on intellectual property and corporate matters. Prior to joining Ebates, Mia worked as Associate General Counsel at Spigit Inc., (Mindjet MindManager acquired by Corel Corporation in August 2016) and Corporate Counsel at Digital Fuel Technologies (acquired by VMWare in June 2011). She also worked in the Products and Technology Law Group at Sun Microsystems. Mia chairs the Sponsorship Committee and is a Board Member of the Association of Corporate Counsel San Francisco Bay Area Chapter. Mia holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley and a J.D. from the University of California, Hastings.

Marie Oh Huber

Marie Oh Huber heads the global legal and government relations and public policy functions for eBay. She and her team partner with the businesses to drive the purpose and success of eBay and its global buyers and sellers.

Huber has over 25 years of strategic business and legal experience in global Fortune 500 companies. She was also responsible for communications, regulatory affairs and quality assurance, government relations and philanthropy at Agilent.

Huber joined eBay in 2015 from Agilent where she last served as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary for six years, having served at Agilent and prior to that at HP. She started her career at large law firms in New York and San Francisco.

Huber has a BA in Economics from Yale, studied at the London School of Economics and received her JD from the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law.

She serves on the boards of the James Campbell Company LLC and the Silicon Valley Community Foundation.

Jan Kang

Vice President and General Counsel, Bromium, Inc.

During her more than 25 years in the legal field, Jan Kang has held positions in organizations focused on revolutionizing the industries that they inhabit. Prior to joining Bromium, Jan was general counsel for a number of companies, including AOptix Technologies, Cupertino Electric, Inc. (where she also served on the Board of Directors), Prism Solutions, MyTeam and Asera, and associate general counsel at Lam Research Corporation. Jan worked overseas in Seoul as an foreign legal consultant for the law firm of Shin and Kim and started her career with Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton in Los Angeles, California. Jan’s quest for like-minded women led her to found WGCN, Women’s General Counsel Network, which at 500 members strong is still growing. Jan earned an undergraduate degree in philosophy from Stanford University and a law degree from the University of Michigan School of Law.

Catharina Min

Partner, Covington & Burling LLP

Catharina Min represents both U.S. and international clients in mergers and acquisitions, private financings, joint ventures, strategic alliances, corporate partnering, securities offerings, and other corporate transactions. She also represents emerging companies in general corporate matters and venture capital financings. In addition, Ms. Min has extensive experience representing Asian clients doing business in the United States.

Ms. Min is a frequent speaker at many organizations, including the Practising Law Institute, Association of Corporate Counsel, SV Forum, the Korean IT Network, and a number of Korean incubators covering topics related to cross-border transactions and venture capital financings. She also regularly shares her insights at events for California Women Lawyers, Asian Pacific American Bar Association, Asian Business League, and others on mentoring and advancement of women and minority lawyers.

Quyen Ta

Partner, Keker, Van Nest & Peters LLP

Quyen Ta is a Partner at the San Francisco litigation boutique of Keker, Van Nest & Peters. Her practice focuses on consumer class action defense, intellectual property, securities, and other high-stakes, complex civil litigation. She has tried numerous cases to verdict, and has handled a significant number of matters in state and federal courts, and before the International Trade Commission. She recently litigated a class action lawsuit for her client and successfully had a nearly $1 billion claim dismissed at the summary judgment stage. She also led her team in defeating several high-stakes class action claims through dispositive motion practice in Los Angeles Superior Court. She serves as lead counsel in class action matters in state and federal courts throughout the country in various industries. Her representative clients include TSMC, Public Storage, CubeSmart, Molina Healthcare, NRG Energy, JM Eagle, and McDonald's.

She has been selected by the Recorder as a "Lawyer on the Fast Track" based on her career achievements and leadership roles within her practice and the larger community. She has also been selected as a "Women Leader in Tech Law" by the Recorder, and was named one of the nation's "Best Lawyers Under 40" by the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association. Ms. Ta has been recognized by various other bar organizations for her professional achievements and community service. Recognized as a leader in the Northern District of California, she was selected by the federal judges to serve a three-year term as a Lawyer Representative. Ms. Ta is active in bar and community activities, and speaks frequently on diversity and inclusion issues. She lives in Berkeley with her husband and twin sons.

Bettina Yip

Senior Labor & Employment Counsel, Recology, Inc.

Bettina Yip is Senior Labor and Employment Counsel at Recology, Inc.  Previously, she was General Counsel of Pet Food Express. Prior to Pet Food Express, she was VP, Associate General Counsel & Assistant Corporate Secretary at the J.M. Smucker Company (f/k/a Big Heart Pet Brands, f/k/a Del Monte Corporation) in San Francisco, CA, responsible for Labor & Employment, Litigation, Privacy and Environmental Law issues. Prior to Del Monte, she was General Attorney at AT&T in Atlanta, GA, where she served on the Legal Department Diversity Committee. In 2005 and 2007, she was named a Georgia Super Lawyers Rising Star in the area of Employment & Labor. In 2007, she was named one of the 25 Most Influential Asian Americans in Georgia by the Georgia Asian Times. And in 2012, she was a Finalist for the Best Labor & Employment Lawyer, Best Bay Area Corporate Counsel Awards – 2012. Bettina graduated magna cum laude from Wellesley College and received her J.D. from Columbia University School of Law, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. She was a Notes Editor on the Journal of Asian Law at Columbia and was the recipient of the Florence N. Shientag Award from the New York Women's Bar Association. Bettina is active in the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA), having served as co-chair of the Awards Committee in 2012-2013 and on the Nominations and Elections Committees in 2009-13. She also served on the NAPABA board as Vice President – Programs & Operations from 2007-2009, Secretary from 2004-2006 and Southeast Regional Governor of NAPABA for the 2001-2003 term. She was co-chair and founder of NAPABA’s Mentoring and Labor & Employment Committees and was on the Mentor Program sub-committee of NAPABA’s In-House Committee. In 2004, Bettina was named one of NAPABA’s 2004 Best Lawyers Under 40. She has also been on the Advisory Committee of the Corporate Counsel Women of Color since 2006. Bettina spends her free time with her two rescue beagle mixes and volunteering with her husband for Rocket Dog Rescue in San Francisco.
