Women in Law Committee


The Women in Law (WIL) Committee aims to promote the advancement of female Asian American attorneys with ties to Silicon Valley.  In advancement of this goal, the group organizes and executes monthly programming including networking, mentoring, speaker, and educational events.

Jessica Ou is Corporate Counsel at Amazon Lab126.  Prior to joining Lab126, Jessica was an associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, where she was a member of the firm’s Litigation Department and practiced in the Information Technology and Data Privacy Group.  Jessica received her J.D. from Stanford Law School in 2011, where she served as APILSA President and Editor-in-Chief of the Stanford Technology Law Review.  Jessica is an APABA Silicon Valley Board Member and founder of APABA Silicon Valley's Women In Law Committee.

Mary Nguyen is a trusts and estates attorney at Corey, Luzaich, de Ghetaldi, Nastari & Riddle LLP.  She received her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where she received the CALI and Witkin Awards for earning the highest grade in Estate Drafting and was actively involved in the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association (APALSA).

Sara Tolbert is a patent litigation associate at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati PC in Palo Alto. Sara received her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2014. While in law school, Sara served as President of the Student Intellectual Property Law Association and as an Editor for the Santa Clara High Technology Law Journal. She also worked as a judicial extern for the Honorable Edward J. Davila for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. Sara received a B.S. in Physics from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Jamie Yoo | jyoo@wsgr.com

Jamie Yoo is an intellectual property litigation associate at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati PC.  She is also a member of the firm’s recruiting committee.  Jamie received her J.D. from Duke and is currently a chair of the board for the Duke Law Club of Northern California.  She is an active advocate and mentor for the Child Advocates of Silicon Valley.  Jamie has been attending, hosting, and organizing events with the Women in Law Committee since moving back to the Bay Area in 2013.  She is also currently an APABA Silicon Valley Board Member.

Lin Zhu is an employment litigation associate at Paul Hastings LLP in San Francisco.  Lin received her J.D. from Northwestern Law School in 2015, where she served as an Executive Editor of the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology. While in law school, she participated in the Center for Wrongful Convictions of Youth, served as an extern to Judge John Z. Lee in the Northern District of Illinois, and externed for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Lin received her B.A. in Economics from the University of Chicago in 2009.
