Tesla Motors - Multiple Positions Available

About Tesla

Tesla’s goal is to accelerate the world’s transition to electric mobility with a full range of increasingly affordable electric cars. California-based Tesla designs and manufactures EVs, as well as EV powertrain components for partners such as Toyota and Daimler.  Model S is the world’s first premium sedan to be engineered from the ground up as an electric vehicle. Model S was named Motor Trend’s prestigious 2013 Car of the Year, achieved the best safety score of any car ever tested by the NHTSA, and Consumer Reports is calling it the best car it has ever tested.

Tesla Motors is committed to hiring and developing top talent from across the world for any given discipline.   Our world-class teams operate with a non-conventional automotive product development philosophy of high inter-disciplinary collaboration, flat organizational structure, and technical contribution at all levels.  You will be expected to challenge and to be challenged, to create, and to innovate.  These jobs are not for everyone, you must have a genuine passion for producing the best vehicles in the world.  Without passion, you will find what we're trying to do too difficult.

Chief Counsel - Stationary Storage (Palo Alto-Deer Creek)

We are looking to hire a Chief Counsel – Stationary Storage to serve as the primary attorney for Tesla’s stationary storage efforts, charged with setting and leading the legal strategy and implementation. This individual will also be a member of a cross functional business team that evaluates and defines new stationary storage opportunities across worldwide markets. This position will report directly to the Deputy General Counsel of the Tesla Legal team.

Corporate Counsel, Commercial (Fremont)

Tesla Motors is looking for an experienced Commercial Attorney to join our legal team. In this role, you will support business teams on a variety of commercial transactions and negotiations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience with supply agreements, license/technology agreements, equipment purchase and lease agreements, and other transactional documents.  A background that incorporates a mixture of law firm and in-house experience is ideal.  A strong background in all facets of commercial law is required, and experience handling commercial contract disputes and intellectual property is strongly preferred.

Employment Counsel (Palo Alto-Deer Creek)

The employment counsel will support the Associate General Counsel responsible for leading Tesla Legal Team’s labor and employment matters globally.  This is a great opportunity to support and enable the transformation of Tesla’s HR team into an indispensable strategic business partner.  You must be confident (but humble), have a sense of humor, and passionate about helping our HR team grow, scale, and thrive.  You will work with the HR teams to enable their success, and you will have the opportunity to work and influence every part of Tesla in a positive way.
