Sanjeet Dutta | sdutta@steptoe.com

Sanjeet Dutta is a partner in Steptoe & Johnson’s Palo Alto office. Mr. Dutta’s practice focuses on patent litigation, patent prosecution, licensing agreements, and IP diligence and audits. Mr. Dutta has litigated in state and federal courts and before the International Trade Commission. Mr. Dutta’s technology areas of particular expertise include, processor architecture, semiconductor memories, semiconductor verification/emulation, semiconductor processing and manufacturing, network routing, caching, cable modem termination systems (CMTS), Cable and Satellite Interactive Programming Guides, Bluetooth protocol, mobile platforms, compiler design, video signal processing, enterprise software integration and storage area networks.

Chris Kao | ckao@velaw.com

Chris Kao is a Partner in Vinson & Elkins’ San Francisco office and is also the Managing Partner of V&E’s Palo Alto office. Chris focuses on intellectual property litigation, including patent, copyright, trademark and trade secrets disputes, and other high-stakes commercial litigation.  He has represented clients in the computer hardware and software, semiconductor, telecommunications, biotechnology, and consumer products industries in federal district courts throughout the country, the U.S. International Trade Commission, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.  Chris graduated from Harvard Law School with honors and magna cum laude from Dartmouth College.

 

David Wei | dwei@ax-law.com

David is a business litigation lawyer with an emphasis on intellectual property.  His cases frequently involve software, Internet, networking, and hardware clients, particularly in patent and trade secret disputes.  He was listed by SuperLawyers each of 2013-2016 and is admitted to practice in many federal and state courts throughout the United States and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).  David is a graduate of Georgetown University (J.D.) and the University of Michigan (B.S., Biology, Political Science).  Born in Taiwan, David is a native speaker of Mandarin Chinese and is conversant in Taiwanese and Spanish.  In his free time, you can find him running, hiking, swimming, fishing, skiing, or backpacking with friends in the Eastern Sierras, Lake Tahoe, Big Sur, or planning his next adventure.
