IN-HOUSE COUNSEL COMMITTEE


The In-House Counsel Committee is dedicated to promoting career growth and development to In-House attorneys and providing access to legal education programs targeted for in-house counsel. The Committee also acts as a critical resource for APABA Silicon Valley members interested in pursuing careers in-house and in fostering connections with other in-house counsel in Silicon Valley.

Welcome to the APABA Silicon Valley In-House Committee! As part of a premier APA bar association located in the heart of the Silicon Valley, our in-house attorney membership has grown to over 300 members. The In-House Committee provides a unique opportunity for APA in-house attorneys to network with other in-house attorneys and private practitioners, while promoting career growth and development and access to legal education programs targeted for in-house counsel. The Committee also acts as a critical resource for APABA Silicon Valley members interested in pursuing careers in-house and in fostering connections with other in-house counsel in Silicon Valley.

Neal Jagtap | npjagtap@gmail.com

Neal Jagtap is Senior Product Counsel at eBay, where he supports the shopping experience and mobile product teams for the core eBay Marketplaces business.  He advises on marketing, privacy, intellectual property, and regulatory matters on a global basis.  Prior to eBay Neal served as in-house counsel to several e-commerce and enterprise technology companies in Chicago and the San Francisco Bay Area.  Neal began his legal career as a commercial litigator at Kirkland & Ellis in Chicago.  Between college and law school he served as an officer in the United States Air Force.  Neal earned a BSE from Princeton University and a JD and MPP from the University of Michigan.

 

Jenny is Senior Counsel at Amazon Lab126, which is the Amazon subsidiary located in Sunnyvale that designs, develops, and manufactures all Amazon-branded consumer electronics devices. She leads the legal team that supports the operations in managing the extensive supply chain and manufacturing activities.  Prior to her current position, Jenny worked at Apple, focusing on hardware development and engineering initiatives.  Jenny also spent a decade as a patent litigator at Kirkland & Ellis, working in both their NY and SF offices.  Jenny holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.A. from Rice University.

Wei is Associate Legal Counsel at Adobe Systems. Prior to joining Adobe, he was in-house counsel at [24]7.ai, Couchbase, and Juniper Networks. Wei received his undergraduate engineering degree from the University of Texas at Austin and his law degree from the Santa Clara University School of Law. During law school, he was a judicial extern for the Honorable Nathan D. Mihara at the Sixth District Court of Appeal of California and the co-president of Asian Pacific American Law Students Association (APALSA).
